Alumni Testimonials

What our students say about us.

"lots of inspiration"

Verena (AT)

I loved the combination of mindfulness, nature and theory. It was a great balance of learning new things but also coming back with lots of inspiration and new takes on life, how to look at things from different perspectives. Lots of what Sebastian said just resonated a lot with me in many areas of my life so it felt like a very holistic retreat.

"a special experience"

Griff (USA)

Anyone who is passionate about creating electronic music would benefit so deeply from these retreats. The knowledge that is provided can be applied to a broad range of experience levels in the studio. You walk away with so many wonderful new friends from around the world with likeminded interests. You gain so many amazing tools, whether it be tips and tricks for production in the studio, live performance or just overall creativity & outlook on life.

"immensely rewarding journey"

Frank (CH)

Upon revisiting my past courses with In Bloom, I've come to realise the extent of my personal and artistic growth since then. Each lesson during the retreat now resonates with me on a deeper level, reflecting my current stage of life and creativity. It's been an immensely rewarding journey of self-discovery and evolution. I am so grateful to Sebastian and the entire Circle of Life team for holding space for my growth!

"unforgettable experience"

Fabio (NO)

I had an unforgettable experience at the Circle of live winter retreat, where the harmonious blend of music, creation, and inspiration fulfilled my creativity process. The live performances presented by Sebastian and Frank were amazing and VERY helpful, providing a unique insight into their approach and inspiring me by having the chance to combine two different styles and taking exactly what information I need so I craft my own. More than that, the serene backdrop of nature, meditation became a powerful tool for self-discovery together with the atmosphere of sharing among participants made this retreat a truly enriching and transformative journey for me.

Your Teachers

Sebastian Mullaert, Ben Bacon and Frank Müller-Pierstorff

Sebastian Mullaert’s journey as a live artist, producer, performer and mentor has always been guided by a deep trust in the creative process. With three decades of experience, he invites you into a space where intuition, technique and expression meet.

During this workshop, Sebastian offers a hands-on, intimate exploration of the 4-Step Creative Process—a practice designed to nurture clarity, deepen your connection to sound, and support your unique artistic voice. Through four days of workshops, creation, and sensorial practices, you are invited to dive deeper, trust more fully, and allow your music to emerge with authenticity and flow.

Foundations Of Creative Flow

Throughout this hands-on workshop, we will deepen the connection between creative intuition and technical expression. Each day will focus on a key aspect of the 4-Step Creative Process, combining group sessions, individual work on your own setup, and continuous mentoring. Together we will explore how to align your tools, mindset and environment to allow creativity to flow with ease and authenticity.

Improvisation

A deeper exploration of improvisation as a gateway to authentic creativity. We will revisit the philosophical foundations and practise applying them hands-on throughout the workshop.

Meditation & Nature

An invitation to strengthen your creative connection through meditation, sensorial practice, and immersion in nature—core tools that support the flow of artistic expression.

Collaboration & Listening

Through daily creation and sharing exercises, we’ll expand our capacity to listen, collaborate and remain present in creative interactions, both internally and with others.

Producing and Studio Workflow

Studio Setup & Technical Flow

Practical guidance on optimising your individual studio setup to enhance creativity, enjoyment and ease. We will focus on aligning your technical environment with an intuitive, improvisation-friendly approach.
